He was accused of being a prime figure in the 1999 match-fixing scandal but an unfazed Aushim Khetrapal has pleaded his innocence in a soon-to-be-launched book in which he also claims to have unmasked former New Zealand captain Stephen Fleming.
The book, titled 'The Chosen One' by television personality Kanu Priya, would be released next month.
"Former sports promoter, whose life took a new turn after he got embroiled with match-fixing controversy with Chris Lewis and Stephen Fleming is about to reveal everything about Fleming, Lewis and the life-changer episode of 1999 in his new book 'The Chosen One'," said a press release.
The book details Khetrapal rise as sports promoter before falling from grace after he was accused of offering money for match-fixing by Lewis and Fleming.
