Australia declare first innings at 237/9

Electing to bat, Australia declared their first innings at 237 for nine on the opening day of the second cricket Test against India here today.

James Pattinson (1) and Xavier Doherty (0) were at the crease when Australian skipper Michael Clarke took the interesting decision of declaring the innings.
