Australia's biggest beef producer to recruit Indian workers

Australian Agricultural Company (AAco), according to a media report, needs Indian workers to help fill 260 new positions at the 80 million Australian dollar abattoir that would export beef to nations like Indonesia, South Korea and the US.

India would be the main country where it would seek the skilled meat- manufacturing labour, AAco chief executive David Farley said, adding the company had been working on a plan for 18 months which includes importing workers on 457 and 417 visas from India.

"India will be key, but of course we have a relationship with IFFCO which kills about 3.5 million buffalo a year
