Austrian police arrested today a man suspected of planning a "terrorist" attack in Vienna, a police spokesman said.
"In recent days indications grew of a planned attack in the capital," spokesman Thomas Keiblinger told the Austria Press Agency.
The man was arrested by armed police in Vienna at around 6:00 pm. A tip-off came from foreign intelligence agencies, APA reported.

The Kronen-Zeitung reported in its online edition that the man had built explosives in Germany but police declined to comment on this.
"The man has been in custody... There are still lots of things to clear up," Keiblinger said.
Police also issued a public warning for people to be on the lookout at crowded public places and to inform police if they see any suspicious objects.
Police also increased the number of officers on the street.
The Kronen-Zeitung said that the suspect belonged to am extremist Islamist group of Albanian origin which sympathises with the Islamic State (IS) group.
