District Magistrate Bandipora issued the order in view of the threat posed to wildlife due to a large inflow of nomads carrying 12-bore guns into Gurez and Tulail in search of green pastures for their cattle, an official spokesman said here today.
He said the District Magistrate directed the nomads to deposit their licensed fire arms at their respective police stations.
