Ashif Ur Rahman, a resident of Haweli Kallu Khas near Jama Masjid, was apprehended from near Kashmere Gate yesterday, Sindhu Pilla, Deputy Commissioner of Police (North), said.
"During patrolling, a constable noticed a person carrying a black bag. His movements were found suspicious.
"He stopped him and searched his bag. 12.5 kg of chura post was recovered from the bag," Pillai said.
A case has been registered.
