Auto marketplace Droom extends services to 100 cities

Droom, the online marketplace for used and new automobiles, has expanded its services to 100 cities across the country.

Since its launch in January 2015, the auto marketplace has increased its sellers to over 26,000 from 20 last year. It has also increased its listings to over 90,000 from 200 in the same period, it said in a statement here.

"Having expanded in 100 cities, we will be looking to add even more value to our services and keep up the high standards that we have set so far," said Sandeep Aggarwal, Droom Founder and Chief Executive.

The company also claimed that the gross merchandise value is more than Rs 1,000 crore presently.
 

Founded in 2014 in Silicon Valley, Droom buys and sells new and used automobiles and automobile services.

Droom is a mobile-first marketplace with a presence on three platforms - Android, iOS and Desktop - and claims to have over 1.4 million downloads for its mobile app.

In the online space, Droom competes with players such as Truebil, Zoomo, CarDekho, Carwale and CarTrade in addition to OLX and Quikr.

Last year, the company raised about Rs 100 crore from Lightbox Ventures and Japanese internet firm Beenos.
