Auto union calls off strike: BJP

Delhi BJP today claimed that autorickshaw union called off its day-long strike after the party assured them of paying heed to their demands.

"Delhi BJP President Satish Upadhyay today had a long discussion on the problems being faced by the autorickshaw drivers with their delegation led by the Delhi Autorickshaw Sangh general secretary Rajendra Soni," Delhi's BJP spokesperson Harish Khurana said.

Upadhyay has categorically assured the delegation that BJP would strongly take up their demand regarding GPS etc, after which Soni announced withdrawal of the strike, Khurana said.

The Delhi BJP chief also congratulated citizens on the occasion of Eid-Ul-Fitr and expressed hope that the festival brings peace and harmony in the society.
