Autumn session of J&K Legislative Council ends

Giving details of the business conducted in the house, Malhotra said 271 questions of public interest were taken up during the session against the 283 questions received from members.

He informed the house that five short notice questions, one notice for discussion, three half-an-hour discussions and seven private members resolutions were taken up during the session.

While three papers were laid on the table, one notice was taken for discussion under Rule 53 and eighteen calling attention motions were taken up during this period.

The chairman said three government Bills were passed by the house, and five private members Bills were taken up, out of which one was introduced and one another was passed.

 

Malhotra thanked all the legislators, staff, security, and media for cooperation and conduct of smooth session.
