The autumn session of the Mizoram Assembly has been summoned by the state governor from October six.

According to the Assembly Business Advisory Committee (BAC) which met here today under the chairmanship of Speaker Hiphei decided that the session would stretch for 16 days while the actual sitting days would be 12, an official said.

The state annual budget for the current fiscal would be presented in the Assembly on October nine by the Finance Minister Lalsawta which would be discussed by the House from October 14 and concluded on October 21.

Lalsawta, who had sought vote-on-account for two times - April to July and August to October, said that he would have to present the full budget as the state had been going on vote-on-accounts for more than half of the fiscal.

He said that he could not present the full state budget as there was absence on clarity on the plan outlay and also on sharing pattern of centrally sponsored schemes (CSS), non-lapsable central pool of resources (NLCPR) and fund to be received from the North eastern council (NEC).
