After helming acclaimed documentary, "13TH", director-screenwriter Ava DuVernay is all set to make a comeback on Netflix with a new subject.
The 44-year-old director, who explored the role of race in the American judicial system, will return to the streaming service with a hard-hitting project which is about the Central Park Five, reported The Independent.
"I had an extraordinary experience working with Netflix on '13TH' and am overjoyed to continue this exploration of the criminal justice system as a narrative project with Cindy Holland and the team there, DuVernay said in a statement.

The plot revolves around Antron McCray, Kevin Richardson, Yusef Salaam, Raymond Santana and Korey Wise - five teenagers who were wrongly accused and jailed for raping a woman in Central Park in 1989.
The series will premiere on Netflix in 2019.
