Average anewari of Yavatmal district below 50 paise

As per the final report of the 'anewari' published today, the entire district of Yavatmal falls under the drought-hit category.

The average anewari (proportion of failed crops) is 45 paise, an official press release said.

The anewari in 2,053 villages in the district which have cultivatable land ranges from 41 to 48 paise.

The taluka-wise number of cultivatable villages and anewari: Yavatmal (136/ 45), Kalamb (141/45), Babulgaon (132/45), Arni (106/46), Darwha (146/48),Digras (81/45), Ner (121/43), Pusad (188/48), Umarkhed (136/41), Mahagaon (114/44), Kelapur (130/43), Ghatanji (107/47), Ralegaon (132/46), Wani (158/48), Maregaon (108/47) and Zari Jamni (117/46).
