To campaign for environmental
protection, Angami Youth Organisation (AYO), an apex youth body of Nagaland's Capital, has initiated "A Moment of Solidarity to Enable Our Environment" within Kohima district today.
AYO president Medo Yhokha said that the day-long campaign, which commenced at 6 AM today would conclude by 6 PM.

Yhokha, however, clarified that the campaign is not a "bandh" but a restriction on the movement of vehicles, except for emergency purposes and official engagements.
The call was also given to all power driven workshops to cease their activities for the day.
Though shops and business establishments are open, they have also requested them to minimise the use of power driven appliances.
Some educational institutions have declared holiday for the day, while some in solidarity with AYO decided not to ply their school buses.
He said that environment and climate issues have become too imperative to be ignored and left for the next generation to be addressed.
Yhokha appealed everyone "to accept responsibility in the current situation, and act to repair what can be repaired, conserve what can be conserved to prepare a future for ourselves and for posterity".
