The Supreme Court Wednesday got irked when one of the advocates interjected during the hearing in the politically sensitive Ram Janambhoomi-Babri Masjid title dispute case of Ayodhya.
"Do not turn this first court of the country to any other thing. Let it remain the first court of the country," a five-judge constitution bench headed by Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi said when a lawyer tried to say something out of the turn.
The observation came when the bench was asking senior advocate Sushil Jain, representing Nirmohi Akhara, to refer to evidence to substantiate the claim of possession over the disputed site.
