Farmers' leader P Ayyakkannu, known for resorting to bizarre forms of protests, said Wednesday he would stage a protest in Delhi on Friday by slipping a noose around his neck to press for various demands such as farm loan waiver.
In a statement here, Ayyakkannu said over 300 farmers would take part in the demonstration to press for various demands including pension of Rs 5,000 per month for farmers and higher procurement price for their produce.
