Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad, the party's Tamil Nadu in-charge, is expected to visit Chennai later this week to discuss with DMK a possible alliance for the coming Assembly polls, after which the high command would take a final call on it, senior party leaders said today.
"Senior Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad is expected to arrive at Chennai on February 13 and likely to meet DMK chief M Karunanidhi, following which a final decision on alliance will be taken by the party high command," TNCC President E V K S Elangovan said.
The party has so far not taken any final decision on the alliance for the polls, National Spokesperson Khushboo said.

To a query on the recently formed four-party Peoples Welfare Front, he claimed it was functioning like the 'B' team of AIADMK and would help the ruling party in the polls.
