Union Minister Upendra Kushwaha today said Bangladesh government has submitted a 'worrying' report to the Home Ministry about Trinamool Congress' Rajya Sabha MP Ahmed Hassan Imran.

However, he did not elaborate about the content of the report.

As per rule, the central government would send the report to the chairman of the Rajya Sabha, the union minister of state for human resources development said after a programme at Mandir Bazar in South 24 Parganas district.

"The Bangladesh government has submitted a 'worrying' report to the Home Ministry about Trinamool Congress' Rajya Sabha MP Ahmed Hassan Imran," Kushwaha said.

He said this when he was asked by reporters what the central government was thinking about the Trinamool MP who allegedly has links with SIMI and with terror groups based in Bangladesh.

The Enforcement Directorate probing the Saradha scam money trail had interrogated Imran twice last year.

Imran was the executive editor of 'Kalom', a Bengali newspaper. He owned the newspaper before selling his shares to the Saradha Group.

On TMC's allegation of using CBI for political vendetta in Saradha scam, the minister said "CBI is working in its own way. The Centre or the BJP has nothing to do with it."

Earlier, the minister said West Bengal is lagging behind in sectors like education, health and human resources in comparison to other states.

The Centre wants improvement in human resources development by strengthening the MG-NREGA, he said.
