The Kerala government today effected a minor reshuffle in the police department and appointed senior IPS officer B S Mohammed Yasin as Director of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau.
Yasin, currently Additional DGP (crimes in the rank of DGP), will take over charge from DGP N C Asthana, who has returned to Central service.
Asthana was made the Director of Vigilance in February last.
IPS officer Shail Darvesh Saheb, ADGP in Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau, has been transferred and posted as ADGP Crimes, official sources said.
The sources said MS Merin Joseph, Deputy Commissioner of police, Kozhikode City, has been transfered and posted as Superintendent of Police, Railways.
