The victim, identified as Delhi-resident Shilpa Verma, jumped from the fourth floor of the hostel.
The third-year student, who was pursuing her degree in bio-technology, was taken to a hospital where she was declared brought dead.
Police have sent the body for postmortem and started probe into the incident.
Meanwhile, the victim's father has alleged foul play in the death of his daughter. The University management has ordered an inquiry into the incident.
