Bollywood celebrities Rishi Kapoor, Anupam Kher, Randeep Hooda and Raveena Tandon, among others have expressed grief over the demise of Hollywood legend Omar Sharif.
The 73-year-old "Lawrence of Arabia" actor died of a heart attack yesterday in Cairo, Egypt.
"The greatest movie introduction of all time. Don't make stars/films like that anymore. #RIPOmarSharif #LawrenceOfArabia," tweeted filmmaker Shekhar Kapur.

Kher posted on his Twitter page, "With Omar Sharif's passing away, kindness of emotions & warmth of heart has also moved away from cinema. RIP Dost."
Kabir Bedi, who shared screen space with the late actor in "Ashanti", tweeted a picture of him with Sharif and captioned it, saying, "Omar Sharif remains a hero for me, from "Lawrence of Arabia", to three films I did with him, to the day he passed away.
Actor Randeep Hooda wrote, "RIP #OmarSharif.Superstar, Gentleman,Icon. An"Arab"who never let his voice or image be misused by idiots. Marhabaaaa!!"
"RIP. THE GREAT OMAR SHARIF!" tweeted Kapoor. Tandon wrote, "Rip Omar Sharif."
