Megastar Amitabh Bachchan, superstars Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar, among others have wished Ramzan to their fans and friends on social media.
Ramzan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, and is observed by Muslims worldwide as a month of fasting to commemorate the first revelation of the Quran to Muhammad according to Islamic belief.
Bachchan, with a following of 15.3 million on Twitter, took to the microblogging site to wish his fans.

Shah Rukh, who is currently shooting for "Dilwale" in Bulgaria, tweeted, "'To look inwards & challenge the self, the ego, in our own eyes & as others see us.' Ramadan Mubarak to everyone."
Salman also took to Twitter and wished his fans. "Ramadan mubarakh ho," he wrote.
"#RamadanMubarak to all my Muslim friends and followers. Have a blessed month," Akshay tweeted.
"Ramadan Mubarak to all....Love and light forever..." filmmaker Karan Johar wished.
"Ramzan Mubarak to everyone... Lots of blessings and love," actor Emraan Hashmi said.
"Ramadan Mubarak," actor-filmmaker Farhan Akhtar tweeted.
Director-producer Mahesh Bhatt also bwished his fans. "Ramzan Mubarak!"
