Kerala Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau today questioned Congress leader K Babu, who is facing corruption charges regarding issuing of bar licenses to hotels during his stint as Excise Minister in the previous UDF government in the state.
Vigilance sources said the former Minister was summoned to the VACB office here and questioned for two hours in a case filed by Kerala Bar Hotel Industries Association leader and industrialist V M Radhakrishnan.
In his petition, Radhakrishnan has alleged irregularities in granting of bar licences by relaxing norms during Babu's tenure.
Meanwhile, Babu accused the state Vigilance and Anti- Corruption Bureau (VACB) of acting in an "extraordinary way" in the case and said he was not "expecting justice" from it.
