Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (Prajatantrik) president Babulal Marandi today said he will campaign for Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar in the state Assembly elections due later this year.
"My aim is to check and stop Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) from coming to power in Bihar. So I will campaign for Nitish Kumar and his party Janata Dal (United) in the Bihar Assembly elections later this year," the former Jharkhand chief minister told reporters here.
He, however, did not reply to a query on Kumar's alliance with RJD chief Lalu Prasad.
Marandi said his JVM would not field any candidate in the Bihar elections.
