A baby which slipped onto railway tracks through the outlet of train toilet after it was delivered by a pregnant woman, succumbed to injuries at a hospital, a doctor said here today.
Government-run Maharaja Yeshwantrao Hospital's doctor Sharad Thora told PTI that the new-born died during treatment.
A seven-month pregnant woman had delivered the baby in the toilet of the stationary Panchvalley Express before it chugged off to Shujalpur from Indore station yesterday, a Government Protection Force (GRP) officer said.

The woman who experienced labour pains, went to the toilet to relieve herself after assuming it was colic, but she begot the child which slipped onto the railway tracks through the outlet, he said.
The woman and her husband cried for help after which people on the railway platform rushed the new-born to Maharaja Yeshwantrao Hospital in a critical condition, he said.
