As many as 87 flights were delayed today at the airport here as foggy conditions led to poor visibility.

There were no diversions or cancellation of flights on account of weather, an official at the Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) said.

According to the official, 87 flights were delayed early in the morning for more than 15 minutes due to bad weather.

Foggy conditions persisted for a couple of hours starting from around 0530 hours, he said.

At times, the runway visibility range was as low as 100 metres.

The official, however, clarified that three Air India flights were diverted to Mumbai due to operational reasons.
