Badal announced this after meeting Lieutenant Governor of Andaman and Nicobar Islands Lt Gen (Retd) Bhopindher Singh, who called on the Chief Minister at his official residence, an official release said.
Singh informed Badal that about 150 to 200 Punjabi-origin families living in Campbell Bay, the southernmost part of the island group, were affected by the natural calamity, but they preferred to stay back.
The Chief Minister asked Singh to list out the requirements of the affected families, particularly their health and educational needs.
