Badal asked the Chief Secretary to constitute a committee under his chairmanship to review the performance of the officers after 15, 20 and 25 years service.
Disclosing this here, an official spokesman said that Badal asked the Chief Secretary to submit a quarterly report in this regard to him so that inefficient, irresponsible and undesirable officers should not continue to burden the administration.
It was observed that efficient, agile and responsive administrative machinery was the need of the hour.
Badal also asked the Chief Secretary to put in place a similar mechanism for Punjab Civil Services (PCS) and all Class A and B officers in the service of the state government.
The Chief Minister desired strict compliance in this behalf, the spokesman added.
