The 10-bedded hospital named after Satguru Ram Singh was constructed by the state government in a record period of eight months.

Speaking at the function organised by Namdhari Darbar, Badal lauded the unparallelled contribution of Namdharis (a Sikh sect) in the freedom movement and said the government had celebrated the 150th anniversary of 'Kuka Movement' launched in 1857 by Satguru Ram Singh in a befitting manner.

Badal said the real tribute to Kuka martyrs would be to rise above the parochial considerations of caste, colour and creed to strengthen the bonds of communal harmony and universal brotherhood.

He said SAD-BJP government was fully committed to the same principle for maintaining peace and amity in the state.
