Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today sought investments in the upcoming Medicity and Educity projects at Mullanpur near here during the visit of United States Ambassador Nancy Powell.
Badal sought these investments from the visiting US envoy who called on him at his residence here, a government release said.
The Chief Minister told Powell that he had already cleared both these projects, being developed as medical and education hubs, to provide world class healthcare services and state-of-the-art education facilities to students from kindergarten to university level.

Powell assured Badal of bringing investments in these ventures by mobilising US-based entrepreneurs and investors, for which the Chief Minister promised all possible help and cooperation, the release said.
The envoy informed that the US embassy would soon set up an American business desk at Mohali, which would be manned by Mohali Industrialists' Association to garner investments from USA and a nodal officer would be appointed from its embassy to facilitate entrepreneurs, keen to make investment in Punjab.
She appreciated efforts of the state government for establishing the prestigious Indian School of Business at Mohali, besides world class infrastructure including the upcoming international airport at Mohali which would give a fillip to the bilateral trade, consolidating the state's economy, the release quoted the envoy as saying.
