During a meeting at Gopeshwar, the district headquarters of Chamoli district, Bahuguna also warned the officials to stay away from corruption.
He said any one found engaging in corrupt practices, would not be spared. In this regard, he said to check the scourge of corruption, vigilance cells are being constituted in every department.
Stating that a Border Development Fund has been set up under district plan for the development of border districts and other backward areas, Bahuguna directed the officials to speed up the development projects by taking special interest in them.
Regarding famous Nanda Rajjat yatra, which is due next year, Bahuguna said a separate cell would be set up for looking after the arrangements for it.
