Calling on Union Home minister Sushilkumar Shinde and Finance minister P Chidambaram here, the Chief Minister sought early assistance in this regard.
He told them the assessment report on damages caused by cloudbursts in Uttarkashi and Rudraprayag districts had been sent to the Centre.
A series of cloudbursts hit the two districts in August and September last year flattening homes and leaving over 100 people dead besides causing large-scale damage to roads and bridges.
Bahuguna also took up the issue of liabilities worth Rs 1500 crore inherited by Uttarakhand from Uttar Pradesh after the formation of the state.
He also told the Finance minister that Uttarakhand had received only Rs 211.30 crore out of Rs 800 crore from the Centre under the annual plan assistance for 2012-13.
Bahuguna urged him to speed up release of the rest of the amount.
