A local court has rejected bail pleas of three accused in connection with Kawal killing case in the district.

Additional District Sessions judge Jitender Kumar yesterday rejected the bail pleas of three accused identified as Nadeem, Jahangir, and Mujassim in the killing case.

Two youths -- Gaurav and Sachin -- were killed at Kawal village in the district on August 27 last year and the Special Investigation Team, probing the riot cases, had filed charge sheet against five accused in this connection.

On August 27, one person was shot dead by Gaurav and Sachin, who were later lynched by a mob in the village.
