Australia skipper George Bailey said Sachin Tendulkar deserves every bit of accolade for his monumental achievements and hoped the Indian legend signs off his career with a win.
"He's (Tendulkar) just been around forever. A wonderful player. I thought it was fitting that he went out with a win. That is great for him. Two more Test matches. He deserves every accolade he gets. How many kids, how many thousands of Indian people love the game, love watching him play. It has been a very special career," Bailey told reporters at the post-match press conference yesterday.
Tendulkar announced his decision to retire from Test cricket after playing his landmark 200th match against the West Indies next month, bringing an end to the intense speculation about his future.
