"Our delegation met with the Energy Minister yesterday in Jaipur and apprised me about the outcome. The government is ready to fulfill our demands and sought reasonable time so I have decided to give the government 15 days," Bainsla told reporters here.
"Our stir for full five per cent reservation under Special Backward Class (SBC) is on and if the government failed to keep its promise, the agitation will be intensified after 15 days," he said.
A delegation of Gujjar members sent by Bainsla held meetings with the state Energy Minister Dr Jitendra Singh, who is also from the community, at his residence here yesterday.
The minister told them that the government was "positive" towards the demand of the community.
Meanwhile, the Bainsla-led group and another faction of the community, led by Attar Singh Bhadana, a former BJP MLA-turned-Congress member accused the other of playing politics over the issue.
