Bajaj Allianz GI launches 'DriveSmart Lite'

Bajaj Allianz General Insurance, the private general insurer, has launched 'DriveSmart Lite' a free value-added service for all private car policy holders.

It is an app-based solution, wherein the car owners can record their trips to get details of the kilometres travelled, fuel economy, and other non-hardware related information, specific to make and model of their car.

This facility has been introduced as an additional feature in the company's self-service mobile app-"Insurance Wallet". With the help of this feature, customers can avail customised details on the road trips they record, get over-speeding alerts in addition to notifications regarding their insurance/PUC/license renewals.

Symphony Q1 net down 23.83 percent at Rs 24.04 crore

Mumbai: Air cooler maker Symphony today reported a 23.83 per cent decline in its net profit at Rs 24.04 crore for the quarter ended June 30.

The Ahmedabad-based company had posted a net profit of Rs 31.56 crore during the same quarter last year, it said in a statement.

Net sales during the quarter under review declined by 15.04 per cent at Rs 129.26 crore as against Rs 152.15 crore in the corresponding quarter last fiscal.

"Degrowth in sales is on account of erratic summer in most parts of the country. In general, for summer-related industry, it was not a good quarter. Moreover, on account of the introductory prices of touch range profitability is impacted temporarily," Symphony Executive Director Nrupesh Shah said.
