Leading two-wheeler maker Bajaj Auto today said it expects to sell 50,000 units of its new 155-cc 'V' motorcycle in the first quarter of the next fiscal.

The 'V' bike contains metal from the country's first aircraft carrier INS Vikrant.

Bookings for the two-wheeler will begin on March 10, Bajaj Auto Vice President (Sales Development and Service) Sanjay Sarswat told reporters here.

"We are hopeful of selling 50,000 'V' bikes in the first quarter of the next fiscal. The initial booking of the two-wheeler will be done between March 10-20 and from March 23, the bikes would be delivered to customers," he said.

The company expects to sell 20,000 units in March itself, he said.
