Bajaj Auto sales slip 2% in Sep, but motorcycles stand out

Bajaj Auto today reported a 2 per cent decline in total sales in September at 3,76,765 units as against 3,84,400 in the same month last year.

Motorcycle sales during the month went up by 1 per cent to 3,31,976 units as against 3,30,228 in September last year, the company said in a BSE filing.

Bajaj Auto's commercial vehicles sales during the month stood at 44,789 units compared with 54,172 in the year-ago period, a fall of 17 per cent.

Its exports in September this year came in at 1,21,173 units as against 1,73,801 a year before, down 30 per cent, the company said.
