Bajaj Auto Ltd on Monday reported one per cent increase in total sales in April at 3,36,274 units as against 3,31,529 units in the same month last year.
Motorcycle sales during the month declined by five per cent at 2,85,791 units as against 2,99,636 units in April last year, the company said.
Commercial vehicles sales during the month were 50,483 units as compared to 31,893 units in the year-ago month, growth of 58 per cent it added. Exports in April stood at 1,61,598 units as against 1,50,714 units in the same month last year, up seven per cent.
Shares of Bajaj Auto Ltd rose as much as 5.4 per cent to Rs 2,052.35 from its previous close.
