Bucking an overall weak trend in the broader market, Bajaj Auto's scrip today gained 1.5 per cent after the company reported 1.78 per cent increase in total sales in January.
Shares of the company rose by 1.48 per cent to settle at Rs 2,362.55 on BSE. During the day, it climbed 2.34 per cent to Rs 2,382.75.
At NSE, the stock was up 1.55 per cent to end at Rs 2,364.10.

Motorcycle sales during the month grew by 2.44 per cent to 2,52,988 units as against 2,46,955 units in the same month last year, the company said in a BSE filing.
Bajaj Auto's commercial vehicles sales stood at 40,951 units compared with 41,791 units in the year-ago period, down 2 per cent.
In the broader market, the BSE Sensex ended at 24,539, down 285.83 points.
