Bajaj Finserv Q1 net jumps 41 pc to Rs 826 cr

Bajaj Finserv today reported a 41 per cent jump in its consolidated net profit at Rs 826 crore for the quarter ended June.

The company had made a net profit of Rs 585 crore in the corresponding April-June quarter of 2017-18.

Total income rose by 16 per cent to Rs 8,771 crore from Rs 7,536 crore in same period a year earlier, Bajaj Finserv (BFS) said in a release.

BFS is the holding company for the various financial services businesses under the Bajaj group.

It is engaged financing business through its 54.99 per cent holding in Bajaj Finance (BFL) and in insurance business through 74 per cent holding in two unlisted subsidiaries -- Bajaj Allianz General Insurance Company Ltd (BAGIC) and Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance Company Ltd (BALIC).

 

Stock of Bajaj Finserv closed 0.90 per cent down at Rs 6,306.90 on the BSE today.
