Bajaj Finserv Q2 net profit rises 40% to Rs 441 crore

Bajaj Finserv Ltd today said its consolidated net profit for the second quarter ended September, 2015 rose by 40 per cent to Rs 441 crore.

The company's net profit in the corresponding July-September quarter of previous fiscal stood at Rs 316 crore.

The consolidated gross revenue of the company increased 9 per cent to Rs 5,185 crore during the reported quarter from Rs 4,774 crore earned a year ago, the company said in a statement.

Bajaj Finserv Limited (BFS) is a holding company for the various financial services businesses under the Bajaj Group.

BFS participates in financing business through Bajaj Finance Limited (BFL) in which it has 57.53 per cent holding as on September 30, 2015.
 

In the protection business, through Bajaj Allianz General Insurance Company Limited (BAGIC) and Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance Company Limited (BALIC), it has a 74 per cent holding in both.

The results of these companies are reflected in the consolidated results of the BFS.

Shares of the company today closed 2.13 per cent up at Rs 1,825 apiece on the BSE.
