Prices of bajra and barley rose up to Rs 15 per quintal at the wholesale grains market today on increased buying by stockists on the back of pick up in demand from consuming industries against tight supplies.
Traders said increased buying by stockists due to rise in demand from consuming industries against limited arrivals from producing regions mainly led to the rise in bajra and barley prices.
In the national capital, bajra and barley moved up by Rs 15 and Rs 10 to Rs 1,230-1,235 and Rs 1,330-1,340 per quintal respectively.
