Bajra recovers on scattered demand

Bajra prices recovered by Rs 5 per quintal at the wholesale grains market today on scattered demand from consuming industries.

However, other grains settled around previous level after moving in a tight range in the absence of worthwhile activity.

Traders said scattered demand from consuming industries mainly pushed up bajra prices.

In the national capital, bajra inched up by Rs 5 to Rs 1,165-1,170 per quintal.

Following are today's quotations (in Rs per quintal):

Wheat MP (deshi) 2,250-2,650, Wheat dara (for mills) 1,635-1,640, Chakki atta (delivery) 1,640-1,645, Atta Rajdhani (10 kg) 220, Shakti bhog (10 kg) 220, Roller flour mill Rs 860-870 (50 kg), Maida 915-920 (50 kg) and Sooji 965-985 (50 kg).
 

Basmati rice (Lal Quila) 10,400, Shri Lal Mahal 10,000, Super Basmati Rice 9,500, Basmati common new 5,500-6,100, Rice Pusa (1121) 4,850-5,950, Permal raw 1,800-1,825, Permal wand 1,950-2,050, Sela 2,600-2,625 and Rice IR-8 1,700-1,725, Bajra 1,165-1,170, Jowar yellow 1,375-1,400, white 2,350-2,475, Maize 1,280-1,285, Barley 1,600-1,610.
