Bajra rises on buying by stockists

Barring a rise in bajra prices on buying by stockists, all other grains held steady at the wholesale grains market today.

Traders said fresh buying by stockists against limited supply from producing belts mainly led to rise in bajra prices.

In the national capital, bajra moved up by Rs 15 to Rs 1,295-1,300 per quintal.

The following are today's quotations per quintal:

Wheat MP (deshi) 2,130-2,330, Wheat dara (for mills) 1,650-1,655, Chakki atta (delivery) 1,655-1,660 Atta Rajdhani (10 kg) 220, Shakti bhog (10 kg) 220, Roller flour mill 885-895 (50 kg), Maida 975-985 (50 kg) and Sooji 1,030-1,050 (50kg).

Basmati rice (Lal Quila) 10,400, Shri Lal Mahal 10,000, Super Basmati Rice, 9,500, Basmati common new 8,700-9,100, Rice Pusa-(1121) new 7,750-9,500, Permal raw 2,200-2,250, Permal wand 2,250-2,350, Sela 2,800-2,900 and Rice IR-8- 1,850-1,900, Bajra 1,295-1,300, Jowar yellow 1,470-1,500, white 2,275-2,300, Maize 1,470-1,475, Barley 1,460-1,470, Rajasthan 1,080-1,090.
