Bajra prices declined Rs 50 quintal at the wholesale grains market today on ample stocks following increased arrivals from producing regions against reduced offtake.
However, maize and barley edged up on pick-up in demand from consuming industries.
Traders said adequate stock position on the back of increased arrivals from producing regions against reduced offtake by consuming industries caused the fall in bajra prices.
In the national capital, bajra fell by Rs 50 to Rs 1,325-1,330 per quintal.
On the other hand, maize and barely looked up by Rs 20 and Rs 10 to Rs 1,550-1,560 and Rs 1,590-1,595 per quintal respectively.
