Bajra prices strengthend by Rs 20 per quintal in an otherwise steady wholesale grain market today, fuelled by rising demand from consuming industries against tight supplies from producing belts.

However, other grains after moving in a narrow range in limited deals, settled around previous levels.

Traders said increased demand from consuming industries against restricted supplies from producing regions mainly pushed up bajra prices.

In the national capital, bajra moved up by Rs 20 to Rs 1,450-1,455 per quintal.
