Bajrang Dal activist Bhuvith Shetty, arrested for posting an alleged threatening tweet against writer K S Bhagwan for his 'derogatory' remarks on the Bhagwad Gita, was today released on bail by police after questioning.
Shetty was not produced before a magistrate as the case registered against him was not a cognizable offence and released on bail, police said.
He was arrested yesterday for posting the 'threat' tweet against Bhagwan after the murder of former Kannada University Vice Chancellor M M Kalburgi in Dharwad on Sunday.
