Bajrang Dal activists today burnt the effigy of RJD leader Lalu Prasad Yadav over his reported remarks that 'Hindus too ate beef'.
The activists led by Yogesh Dhir, Bajrang Dal's Punjab convenor, raised slogans against the leader and burnt his effigy at various places in the city.
Prasad, a former Bihar Chief Minister and Union Minister, kicked up a row after his controversial comments on the beef row, who had said that some Hindus too ate beef when they went outside the country.
The right-wing outfit asserted that they would not tolerate any remarks or action in support of cow slaughtering.
