Diversified public sector company Balmer Lawrie & Co today reported a marginal rise of 5.57 per cent in net profit at Rs 27.63 crore for the July-September quarter compared to Rs 26.17 crore in the same quarter of the previous year.
Total income from operations rose to Rs 427.77 crore in the quarter under review, from Rs 401.5 crore in the year-ago period.
However, total expenses also increased to Rs 395.35 crore for the quarter under review, as compared to Rs 369.07 crore in the corresponding period of last year, according to a regulatory filing.
Shares of Balmer Lawrie & Co closed up by 2.41 per cent at Rs 787.90 on BSE.
