Diversified PSU Balmer Lawrie & Co today reported a net profit of Rs 26.08 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2016, against Rs 33.47 crore in the year-ago period.
During the quarter under review, the company's total income from operations stood at Rs 407.51 crore, higher than Rs 393.39 crore in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal.
However, total expenses also shot up to Rs 375.22 crore, from Rs 351.08 crore in the year-ago period, according to a regulatory filing.

Balmer Lawrie earned revenue from segments like industrial packaging, logistics infrastructure & services, travel & vacations, greases & lubricants, among others.
The company's scrip closed at Rs 219.45, down 0.61 per cent from previous close on the BSE.
